Frequently Asked Questions

DO you offer a trial membership?

Yes, you can get a 7-day free trial which renews automatically after the trial period ends.

Do you offer beginner - advanced videos?

Every class can be modified to fit your current level. There are options to make moves easier for beginners or more challenging for a more advanced experience.

How long are the classes?

The classes are 45-55 minutes long, including warm-ups and stretches. If you don't have 55 minutes to work out, you can do sections to fit your schedule. Just remember to stretch!

Do I need special equipment?

You will want to get a light pair of weights (1-3 lbs), an exercise mat, and a bottle of water. Sometimes we use loop bands or an exercise ball. Of course, it's not required to have all of these items, but you will get a better workout and be more comfortable with them.

Do I have to use weights?

Not at all! Sometimes injuries or other issues make it uncomfortable to use weights, or maybe you simply don't own any. Whatever the reason, gravity is a perfectly fine substitute since our arms weigh something too!

Do I need a barre?

Nope! You can use the back of a sturdy chair or couch, a counter, or even the wall. Any sturdy surface will suffice!

Can I attend your Barre class in person?

Yes! In addition to my Barre classes here on my website, I also teach in-person classes at Sincerely Yoga and Massage. You can click this link to see my availability, sign up, and pay for an in-person class. Memberships for the website do not include in-person classes.

What ages can participate in Barre?

Ages 14 and up can participate in the in-person classes, but any age can follow along with the online classes.

Can someone with no experience follow along easily?

Yes! I provide clear instructions during classes, as well as give different difficulty levels. Go at your own pace!

Can someone with no dance experience take Barre?

Yes. This is not a dance class. We take dance-inspired moves and combine them with strength and some cardio. However, I do encourage you to let the music guide your movements!
